I realize this didn't happen today, but I don't score victories like this very often, so I just had to post these pictures.
Leaky Pipes 0; Yours Truly 1
What was in the basement hanging out of the ceiling...and yes, that black thing under the pipe is the top of a rubber made 30 gallon trash can perched on top of a rickety ladder to catch the drips.
Thought this handy-dandy PVC pipe would fix the massive leak. It did not.
On to stage 2. At this point there are no holes in the wall but there is a leak in the basement. By this time, I have decided the leak is not in the basement but is in the bathroom upstairs...hiding somewhere behind these fine walls.
Looking for the leak...although hole 1 and 2 were fun to make, they didn't reveal the leak.
Found it...hole #3 is the winner. Leak found.
3 massive holes in the wall, but a dry basement. Good-bye trash can on ladder; hello dry floor.
You might be wondering where the pictures of the patched wall are...well, there are none. Not because I ran out of film, but because we're an efficient couple and we're going to re-do the bathroom in the future. Who wants to patch 3 good size holes only to tear out the new handy work in the near future? Not this guy.
